Welcome to Chris’ New Page
Christopher was born on October 15, 1979. Christopher died on February 17, 2002 after a long battle with bipolar disorder. This website was created so people could share their memories and feelings about Chris. As long as people are interested, I will change the pictures every few months so keep checking for updates. I will post stories people provide about Chris as well as any pictures you may have. If you have something you want posted, please email me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Please sign the Guest Registry and leave a short note about Chris. This web site was also established to help people understand the debilitating and sometimes fatal effects of bipolar disorder. I have provided some links to bipolar sites and urge you to spend a few minutes looking at them. It is too late for Chris but by knowing something about this disease may allow you to help someone else who is bipolar.
Chris had many talents. He had a keen sense of humor and was voted class clown at Loch Raven High School. He was an accomplished actor and had many lead rolls during his following years at Essex Community College. Some of the plays are still broadcast on Comcast Cable channel 72 (Baltimore County). Christopher was a sensitive, caring individual. After his death we discovered over two hundred poems that Chris had written. We knew he liked to write, but had no idea as to the size of his body of work. He appeared downtown on Monday nights at poetry readings. He was competitive and always tried to win the twenty-dollar prize money. Many of Chris's poems explore the depths of his depression. A few are upbeat and some I have to admit I don't fully understand. I have had them Copyrighted and I am going to post them five at a time on this site. None of the poems are dated so I do not know when they were written.
We have established a Scholarship Fund at Essex Community College for young adults who aspire to act but need some financial support. Anyone wanting to make a contribution in Chris' name should click on the Essex Foundation Icon. Chris seemed to be at his best when he was acting. Many actors, musicians and writers are bipolar. It seems that people who are the most creative suffer from this disease at a higher rate.
Chris would have been 23 on October 15, 2002. We celebrated his birthday at the Towson Charles Village Pub (CVP) with his friends and our relatives. All had a great time. Our objective was to have a party to celebrate his life. Chris liked parties and we felt this is something he would have wanted us to do. We are planning to do the same thing next year. We had over 50 people this year with little advance notice. I think next year it could be even bigger so if you want to see your/Chris' friends please plan on coming. All are invited.
